IPL Hits $12 Billion Brand Value, It Is Now Worth Over ₹1 Lakh Crore. With a brand value officially touching a whopping $12 billion (over ₹1 lakh crore) in 2024, the Indian Premier League (IPL) underwent a phenomenal journey, according to the latest reports. This recording makes for a meteoric rise of 13% from last year. Now, firmly placing the IPL in the league of grown-up sporting leagues in the world alongside global gentlemen such as the NFL, NBA, and English Premier League.

The rise indicates that IPL is a major global sports brand. With money pouring in through television rights and advertising, which are two of the biggest streams feeding the league’s growing international popularity. The enterprise value of the league has also swelled to $16.4 billion (around ₹1.35 lakh crore). It has now increased by 6.5% across the year.

For the first time, 4 IPL franchises have been deemed to have achieved over $100 million in brand value:

Mumbai Indians (MI): $119 million (+36%)
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): $117 million (+67%)
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): $109 million (+38%)​
