With Liverpool to host Bayer Leverkusen for a UEFA Champions League 2024-25 match tomorrow, the buzz is over Mo Salah’s contract at Anfield. There are speculations about Mohamed Salah packing for the Saudi Pro League, but Liverpool is mum whether the club will continue with the star player or not.

Mohamed Salah, 32, showed why he is the best in Liverpool’s recent match against Brighton, going eighth on the all-time Premier League goal scorers’ list. This was the Egyptian’s 164th goal of his Premier League career and ninth of the season. Liverpool manager Arne Slot believes Mo Salah can deliver at the highest level beyond the duration of his current contract with the club.

He told a press conference that there is no reason to believe that Salah is dropping in terms of level. The footballer’s numbers speak for themselves. But Slot highlighted that he cannot say what or how the future will look like. He likened Mohamed Salah to soccer sensations like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Slot said Mo is in a very good place.

Mo Salah Social Media Post

About Mohamed Salah’s social media post which stated “I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like’, Slot told reporters he doesn’t look at Instagram posts of his players. He only talks to them. Slot said what matters the most is how Mohamed Salah plays, what he tells him when they have conversations, and not how one interprets their social media posts.

The Liverpool manager shared that he should have spoken to Salah about what he meant. Slot said they have only spoken about the upcoming game against Leverkusen because that’s what matters the most.
