ODI World Cup 2023: India vs Pakistan Clash Likely To Be Rescheduled: Reports. The much-awaited clash of ODI World Cup 2023 between arch-rivals India vs Pakistan match date could be changed. It is scheduled to be held on October 15 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. But according to an Indian Express report, the mega clash date could be changed as Navratri will start on Oct 15, a festival celebrated with night-long Garba dance, particularly in Gujarat.
ICC released the ODI World Cup 2023 schedule on June 27 in Mumbai. but there could be a massive tweak in the date for one of the most iconic clashes in the tournament this year. India will face Australia in their opening match of the World Cup in Chennai on October 8 while Pakistan’s first two matches are scheduled in Hyderabad on October 6 ( vs Netherlands) and October 12 ( vs Sri Lanka).
Indian Express also reported that BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote to the 10 cricket associations which are hosting World Cup 2023 matches to attend a meeting in New Delhi on July 27. Security agencies have alerted the board to change the date because of the mass crowd of the Navratri festival. BCCI has informed all the board members of the security concerns around Ahmedabad and finalized a new date for the Indo-Pak clash.

If the date will be changed, then crazy fans will have to face financial and logistical nightmares who have booked their hotels on record-breaking prices. India vs Pakistan match tickets get sold out within a few hours.
Some reports from Ahmedabad say that most of the hotels are already over-booked for mid-October. A report suggested that the people who are unable to get rooms in hotels because of full bookings are moving to hospitals and even homestay options have been exhausted. A skyrocketed hike in airline fares is expected as well.
