The official announcement was made in Bangalore during a ceremony on February 13, 2025, in Star Sports. The ceremony was awarded to Patidar by his head coach, Andy Flower.

31-year-old Patidar right-handed batsman from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has into the RCB setup since 2021. Over the years, he has increasingly proven to be a big player for the franchise. In a total of 27 IPL matches, Patidar has scored 799 runs in his career at an average of 34.74 and an impressive strike rate of 158.85. This figure comprises one hundred and seven half-centuries and a personal best score of 112 not out.
The best-known performance—a hundred off fifty-four balls—was during the 2022 IPL Eliminator for Lucknow. He scored an unbeaten 112, the first time a player without a cap had gained a hundred in the playoffs.
