Report-Saudi Arabian Club Al-Hilal Keen To Sign Barcelona’s Vitor Roque. Saudi Pro League FC Al Hilal is eager to sign on Vitor Roque who plays forward for La Liga club Barcelona. Al Hilal has a promising offer for the Brazilian footballer, but it’s waiting for the green light from Barcelona.

Roque is a rising player, having registered 28 goals and 11 assists in 81 appearances for Athletico Paranaense in the 2022-23 season. He moved to Barcelona in December of 2023 in a $60 million contract. Andre Cury, the player’s agent, told Forbes in June 2024 that they chose Barca instead of other options where they could earn twice as much. He said if Barcelona doesn’t let Roque play, they will not hesitate to look for another way.

The teen has displayed his skills and talent, having scored two goals in two games since his entry in Barcelona in January, but the club has deprived him of playing time. Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona’s manager, said Roque had to get into the rhythm of the competition, the game, and the system. The club said the first six months for the Brazilian would be a pure adaption period, and the first phase of development is in place.

Vitor Roque Not Given Playing Time At Barcelona

Cury highlighted that Barcelona has been using Roque as a substitute and he didn’t make his debut in the Champions League. He played 310 minutes in the league, and two starts in 13 appearances. The agent said no one can understand why the Barca coach doesn’t give Roque more playing time. He added that if FC Barcelona decided the boy can’t stay, he’ll be sold. Cury said they would try to work for a transfer.

But nothing has changed as Robert Lewandowski remains Barcelona’s go-to striker and Ferran Torres as back-up. And now, Roque has the opportunity to move on and make his mark with an offer from Al Hilal. However, the word is that the youngster wants to stay in Europe.
