Rishabh Pant Named Lucknow Super Giants Captain ahead of IPL 2025: Dr. Sanjiv Goenka unveiled Rishabh Pant as the franchise’s new captain just before the start of IPL 2025. The Lucknow Super Giants have taken a major step in appointing their captain for the IPL 2025. Pant has been acquired at the IPL 2025 mega-auction for an astonishing ₹27 crore. He has become the most expensive player in the history of that tournament, eclipsing the previous best.
After having captained the Delhi Capitals in 43 games and won 24 of them, Pant has already proved he has captaincy credentials. His explosive batting and aggression in making decisions on the field made him the best choice for LSG. He who would want to win their first IPL title.
