Sudharsan has already made his ODI debut in South Africa last year. Jitesh has played nine T20Is for India since his debut in the Asian Games 2023. Harshit, who had a great IPL season with the champion team Kolkata Knight Riders, has yet to play at the international level.

Samson, Dube, and Jaiswal were part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup on Saturday, June 29. Their return to India from Barbados was delayed due to a hurricane. The BCCI has confirmed that these three players will first travel to India with the rest of the team from the Caribbean. They will then head to Harare for the last three T20Is.
India has selected a relatively inexperienced squad for the five-match T20I series, with Shubman Gill appointed captain. The series will begin on July 6 and end on July 14, with all five matches set to take place at the Harare Sports Club.
