Suryakumar Yadav To Miss First Round Of The Duleep Trophy 2024: While fielding at leg slip for Mumbai against TNCA XI, Suryakumar Yadav injured his right hand. This led him to leave the field and miss the rest of the match. He has been ruled out of the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024 due to this injury which he got during the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament. This injury has now cast doubt over his participation in the tournament, where he was supposed to represent India C led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The injury occurred when Suryakumar tried to stop a ball at a leg slip, causing substantial pain. Despite immediate treatment from doctors, it was serious enough for him not to play further matches, including Mumbai’s second innings batting. His absence could be a major blow for Yadav, who aimed to enter the Test squad through exceptional performance in domestic cricket.



The Duleep Trophy 2024, one of the premier domestic tournaments in India, is said to commence on September 5. A vital avenue for players who want to break into red-ball cricket and vie for places in the national Test side.
