The Karnataka batter is allegedly closer to full health than Shreyas, however both will be given many opportunity to show their fitness before the World Cup selection is finalized.

Each team must submit their first list of 15 players by September 5, according to ICC norms. While the final submission can be submitted on September 27. Countries are free to make as many adjustments as they like between their first and final submissions. Surprisingly, the Australia series closes on September 27, the day of the last submission.
