India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in a rain-affected 2nd test match at Kanpur and cemented their No.1 position in the WTC (World Test Championship) 2025 points table. It is the 18th consecutive test series win for Men In Blue at home. Rohit Sharma led the team to beat the visitors in the 1st test by 280 runs.

Both teams will now face in a 3-match T20I series starting from 6 Oct.

After this thumping win, India strongly holds the Numero uno position in the ICC WTC 2025 points table. In 11 matches India won 8 lost 2 and drew 1. Their pct is 74.24, while Najmul Hasan Shanto-led Bangladesh down from 5th to 7th position.
