World Cup 2023 Qualifier: Netherlands Book Ticket To India. The Netherlands secured the final spot in the World Cup 2023 after defeating Scotland in a do-or-die battle. On the other hand, Sri Lanka qualified for the CWC 2023 a few days ago, and Zimbabwe, unfortunately, lost their ticket to World Cup after getting defeated by Scotland in their final match of the Super Six Stage battle. Following Zimbabwe’s setback, only Scotland and the Netherlands were in contention for a spot in the World Cup.
Before this clash, Scotland was in second position with 6 points, while the Netherlands was in fourth place with 4 points in the points table. Both had played their four matches. However, Netherlands 23 years old, Bas de Leede, an associate player performed like a champion today and delivered with both bat and ball. The Dutch have made history by chasing down 278 runs in 43 overs.
The World Cup will commence in India from October 5th to November 19th. It will be played across 10 cities in India, and a total of ten teams will participate in this flagship event of the ICC in a round-robin format. Two groups will consist of 5 teams and each team will compete against another for one time. The Semi-finals of the World Cup will be played in Kolkata and Mumbai respectively. Moreover, the final will be played in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium. According to reports, Tickets for World Cup will be on sale within a week.
