WPL 2023: Orange Cap, Purple Cap List, And Updated Points Table. The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is reaching close its finale. WPL 2023 which started on March 4 didn’t fall any short to entertain fans across the globe. Many world-class players displayed eye-catching performances in Women’s premier leagues inaugural season. Let’s have a look at possible contenders for Orange Cap and Purple Cap.
Orange Cap List WPL 2023
Players from Australia and England are dominating the list of top run-scorers in WPL. Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Meg Lanning is leading the run-scoring chart in WPL 2023. She amassed 310 runs in eight matches with an average of off 51.67 and a strike rate of 141.55
Uttar Pradesh Warriorz (UPW) Tahila McGrath is not far behind her compatriot Lanning. She scored 302 runs in nine games in this season of WPL. Nat-Sciver, Sophie Devine, and Hayley Matthews follow McGrath in the run-scoring chart. These five players are front-runners for grabbing Orange Cap in WPL 2023.

Purple Cap List WPL 2023
UP Warriorz pacer Sophie Ecclestone is currently holding Orange Cap in the IPL 2023 by taking 16 wickets in nine games. Saika Ishaque of MI follows her in the chart with 15 wickets in nine games.
Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Amelia Kerr also found a place in the chart with 13 wickets in 9 games. Other MI players Hayley Matthews and Issy Wong are also on the list of top wicket-takers with 13 and 12 wickets respectively. This explains that Mumbai Indians is the best team in WPL 2023.
Also, Gujarat Giants pacer Kim Garth and Capitals bowler Shikha Pandey bagged eight wickets in five games. These seven players will compete with each other for the Purple Cap.

WPL 2023 Points-Table
Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians are leading the points table by winning all games they played. Delhi Capitals follow them with four wins out of five games. UP Warriorz are ranked in the third position in points-table with two wins and three losses.
Gujarat Giants also won two games out of the six games in WPL 2023. They are ranked at the second-last position in the points table. Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their first five games in this season of IPL, however, they made a comeback day before tomorrow by defeating UP Warriorz.
They are at the bottom of the points table. Mumbai Indians are already qualified for the playoffs. For the remaining two spots in the playoffs, four sides are competing with each other.
