Delhi Capitals response

DC set a target of 178. Jemimah Rodrigues wove a solid performance in a tremendous effort to keep the innings getting better with a touch of 56 runs from only 35 balls. However, despite her efforts, DC could not stitch together meaningful partnerships. Once they lost one wicket, they lost three in quick succession. Following Grace Harris’s stunning job—a hat trick in the last over—she took 4 wickets for 15. DC was bowled out for 144, falling short by 33 runs.

Key Performance:

Chinelle Henry (UPW): 62 runs in only 23 balls.
Grace Harris (UPW): 4 wickets and after 15—a hat trick.
Jemimah Rodrigues (DC): 56 runs in just 35 balls.

With this win, this is UPW’s first in the league to successfully boost morale for further tournaments, whilst DC needs to rethink their strategy and resolve setbacks that cost them victory.
