WTC 2025 Final: Cameron Green and Nathan Lyon Announced Fit Before Summit Clash. With Nathan Lyon and Cameron Green declaring fit, Australia’s cricket team has been energized ahead of the WTC final against South Africa at London’s Lord’s in June. Cameron Green had his back operated on in October 2024 but is recovering fast to become fully fit again. The 25-year-old has joined English county side Gloucestershire for a five-match series beginning at Kent on April 18.

While Green will return to bowling later in the year, his major focus is to bat again at some point. He further added that he does not have a fixed batting position, as certain spots in the order are much more guaranteed: “We’ve got an ultra-successful top five, six, or seven, so it’s never easy, but that’s what you want it to be in a Test team.”

Nathan Lyon also declared fit ahead of WTC 2025 final

Older off-spinner Nathan Lyon has also proved encouraging, declaring himself fit by managing with some hip injuries sustained during the recent series against India and Sri Lanka. Lyon, with much narrative-the-warm synonymous with these finals, continues, “It’s another final, and that is what you want to play cricket for. You want to be in the finals and want to win trophies. We get the chance to defend the mace, so that is pretty exciting.”
