Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova grabbed the Grand Slam doubles title in the finals at the French Open 2024, defeating Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani 7-6 (7-5) 6-3. The American emerged as the youngest tennis player in 19 years to claim the singles and doubles Grand Slam title.
This was Gauff’s third women’s doubles final, after she lost the championship matches at the US Open in 2021 and at Roland Garros in 2022. This was Paolini’s second consecutive loss after she loss in the singles final French Open 2024 to Iga Swiatek on June 8.
Gauff thanked Siniakova, from the Czech Republic, saying they decided to play together just two days before the tournament. In a post-match interview, she shared that she was looking for an American to play with because Jessie had pulled out due to injury.

Coco Gauff Partnered With Katerina Siniakova Was Last Minute
Gauff, 20, said she wasn’t even sure whether she’d play the doubles final. She asserted that Taylor Townsend, who rolled her ankle, texted her about playing with Siniakova, 28 and she responded great. Gauff highlighted that Siniakova has won multiple Slams and they could be a great at doubles.
About the match, the American believes they played really well. And together they found a way to play better. Gauff acknowledged that the last two matches were the toughest of the tournament. But she said they did a good job by staying calm, being aggressive and playing tennis. Gauff commended Siniakova for winning the long rallies.
