WPL 2025: Full List Of Players Retained And Released By Each Team: As the 2025 mini-auction approaches, the teams of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) have finalized their player retention and releases strategically. The outlook of the teams is to enhance the strength of the team and the depth of the squad without overshooting the salary cap. The mini-auction allows the teams to realign any strategy they may feel improves their overall team performance and which could have been exposed in previous seasons. The budgets are impacting player retention and recruitment. It is ranging from INR 2.5 crore for DC to INR 4.4 crore for GG. In most cases, some new players are added to existing players retained by the franchise.
This auction is likely to shake up the WPL as it will bring in new players. It will prepare them for the stiff competition of trying to balance the various sections of the squads.
