DINESH KARTHIK
The first player on the list is Dinesh Karthik. He is the oldest cricketer currently in the Indian squad. The 37-year-old staged a comeback in the Indian cricket team with a splendid IPL 2022. Karthik was even preferred over Rishabh Pant as the primary wicket-keeper batsman in the first match against Pakistan of the Asia Cup 2022.
Dinesh Karthik is already 37, and at this age, It will be very difficult for him to continue playing for a longer duration. We should not be surprised if Dinesh Karthik retires from all forms of the game, not only in T20.
RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN
Ravichandran Ashwin, once regarded as one of the most prolific spinners in Indian cricket, has slowly started to get sidelined. He had a good IPL and was brought back into the Indian team. But, Ashwin has more often than not played the role of 12th man.

Chahal and Bishnoi, along with Kuldeep Yadav, are the three preferred spinners by the team management. In such as situation, Ashwin gets very few chances to play.
The 35-year-old spinner and a lower-order batsman is also not very swift on the field. With age not with him, Ashwin will most likely quit at least the T20 format before the next Asia Cup in 2023.
ROHIT SHARMA
Rohit Sharma has been playing almost all forms of cricket for the last decade. It seems the mental fatigue has started to take a toll on his health. With IPL organized each year and adding to it a lot of bilateral T20 series, Rohit Sharma is prone to injury. He is not as quick in the field as he used to be around 2-3 years ago.

We should not be surprised if the upcoming ICC T20 World cup 2022 is the last time we see Rohit Sharma playing in the T20 format for India. He needs to focus on tests and ODI. Also, the 50-over world cup is next year, and Rohit Sharma will be one of the key members of the squad.
VIRAT KOHLI
Virat Kohli has played the highest number of matches for India in all formats over the last decade. It is no denying that Kohli is also one of the fittest players on the field at the moment. But, he has always emphasized the excess workload nowadays.
Virat is 33 years old, and the time has come for him to quit one of the three forms of cricket to extend his career. In such a situation, it will be best for him to hang his boots in cricket’s shortest format and focus on the buildup for the much-awaited ICC Men’s 50-over world cup to be organized in India next year.
BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR
Bhuvi has been India’s premier bowler after Bumrah in all forms of cricket. But, he has also been prone to injuries lately. This clearly suggests that his body needs rest. The bowlers have a huge workload in a match.
Their shoulders and body are most affected. We can expect Bhuvneshwar Kumar to retire at least from the T20 format before the next Asia Cup.
