Asia Cup 2023: Team Sri Lanka Schedule and Squad. The Asia Cup in all its glory, will kick off its 16th edition on August 30th and will run until September 17th. This event will feature six Asian countries. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be hosting the event in a hybrid format. This tournament will feature 13 matches in total. 9 matches out of 13 will be held in Sri Lanka at Kandy and Pallekele, and rest 4 matches will be played in Lahore, Pakistan.
The Asia Cup 2023 will feature India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka across 13 ODIs. These six teams will be split into two groups. Each group will include three teams. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 4, where they will vie against each other once. The top two teams will then compete in the deciding game for the pristine title.
Sri Lanka is currently the defending Asia Cup winner. They won the title in 2022 by beating Pakistan. With this triumph, Sri Lanka currently ranks second in Asia Cup for most title wins, trailing only India. Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup six times: in 1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2014, and 2022
Lately, Sri Lanka has qualified for the World Cup 2023 after winning every single match in the CWC Qualifiers.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announces the Asia Cup 2023 schedule on July 19. Host Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh in their opening match at Kandy on August 31.
