Asia Cup 2023: Updated Points Table, Most Runs And Wickets After Last League Match: The first leg of the Asia Cup has concluded with the conclusion of the sixth match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. The top four teams from each group will now compete in the Super 4s. The second leg of the Asia Cup, Super 4, will be played in a round robin style, with the top two teams advancing to the title match.
In the sixth match, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. Despite losing three early wickets, Kushal Mendis emerged as the team’s hero, scoring 92 runs to bring the team total to 291 runs. Chasing this, Rahmat Shah, Mohd. Nabi and Captain Shahidi produced quick runs to help their side qualify for the Super 4’s, and at the end, Rashid Khan’s brave effort took Afghan close to the match, but they fell short by 2 runs and ended their tournament with no wins in the points table.
India and Pakistan qualified from Group A, while Bangladesh and Sri Lanka qualified from Group B. The Super 4 will begin tomorrow with Pakistan taking on Bangladesh.
