ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Teams, Captains And Coaches List. The 9th edition of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from 4 June to 30 June in West Indies and USA. A total of 55 matches will be played across ten venues among 20 teams in T20 World Cup 2024. England defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 and won the coveted trophy for the second time.
All teams will be divided into 4 groups of 5 and top 2 teams from each group advance to the Super 8 round of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Super 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams and from here 2 top teams will reach in the semi-finals.
West Indies will host the tournament second time while this is the first time that the USA will host any ICC events. A final decision about world cup venues will be taken by the ICC with WI and USA cricket boards shortly. Team India under the captaincy of MS Dhoni won the first ICC T20 World Cup in South Africa.
The top 8 teams of the last edition and two hosts USA and West Indies got direct qualification for the World Cup 2024. As of now, 15 teams have been qualified and rest 5 teams will be decided through the qualifier matches.
