ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Qualified Teams Points Table. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has reached the business stage of the tournament. In a surprise result, the minnows Netherlands defeated South Africa in Group 2, making them get eliminated from the race to qualify for the semi-finals. This means India has automatically qualified from Group 2. In the second match of the day, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh to secure their seat as the second team from Group 2. To recall, New Zealand and England have already qualified for the semi-finals from group 1.

NEW ZEALAND- 5 matches, 7 points
New Zealand, with its incredible performance throughout the tournament, has finished group 1 at the top position. They won 3 out of the 5 matches, while 1 game was abandoned without a bowl faced. New Zealand lost their match against England.
Their net run rate was +2.133, the highest in the Group. New Zealand will face the second-ranked team in Group 1 in the semi-finals.

ENGLAND- 5 matches, 7 points
England started their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign with a win against Afghanistan. But, they had a poor performance against Ireland, which resulted in their loss. Their next match against Australia was abandoned without a bowl faced.
It seemed as if England won’t reach the semi-finals, but they peaked at the right time, winning their next 2 games New Zealand and Sri Lanka, helping them achieve 7 points from 5 matches. They finished second in Group 1 and will face the top-ranked team from Group 2 in the semi-final.
Other teams such as Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, and Afghanistan could not advance to the semi-finals. Australia could have qualified if Sri Lanka defeated England in the final league match, but it did not happen.

Teams Qualified From Group 2
INDIA- 4 matches, 6 points
The defeat of South Africa against the Netherlands meant that India sealed their semi-final slot. If India defeats Zimbabwe, they will finish the group at the top position and will play England in the semi-finals. If they lose the match against Zimbabwe, they will finish the group as the second team and will lock horns against New Zealand.

PAKISTAN- 5 matches, 6 points
Suddenly, from nowhere, Pakistan made a surprise entry into the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. Their fate lied in the hands of the South Africa-Netherlands game. The moment the Netherlands defeated South Africa, the Pakistan-Bangladesh match became a virtual quarter-finals. Pakistan did not panic here and they outplayed Bangladesh to seal their spot in the semi-finals.
