T20 World Cup 2024: Team India Squad, Their T20Is Stats And Other Details. BCCI announced India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 on 30th April 2024, about a month before the much-awaited tournament finally kicks off. The T20 World Cup will consist of 20 teams this time and will be bigger than ever before. The tournament is scheduled to kick-start on June 2 and will be hosted jointly by the United States of America and West Indies this time.
Team India and its fans are extremely desperate for an ICC trophy now because it has been 11 years since they last won it back in the 2013 Champions Trophy under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Last year, they came extremely close to doing that after making it to the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup but unfortunately lost to Australia in the final. They will hope to undo the disappointment from last year in the upcoming tournament.

Team India Squad For T20 World Cup 2024
After the BCCI announced India’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, there were mixed feelings among fans. Many fans questioned the exclusion of two players from the main squad, namely Rinku Singh and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Rinku Singh, who has consistently proved himself both in the national team and the Indian Premier League, is in the reserve team while an in-form Ruturaj Gaikwad was not cut at all.

Team India Schedule T20 World Cup 2024
The tournament will kick off on 1st June and India will take on Ireland in their first match on June 5. This time, as there are 20 participating teams, there will be a super eight in the T20 World Cup followed by the semifinals and final. The final will be played on June 29.
