IPL 2023 Auction: 4 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Might Retain Before Auction. IPL 2023 auction is slated to occur in the first quarter of 2023. This will be the first time that a regular auction will take place after the addition of 2 new teams. The ongoing IPL 2022 has given us a few memorable match-winning performances from all the teams. A few players have taken the IPL with a storm, courtesy of their impeccable performance with the bat and bowl. This season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have played good cricket and they qualify for the playoff. Few players from RCB have made a valuable contribution, and a few of them, although they have not performed as per the expectations, still is an integral part of the team. Let us look at 4 players RCB can retain in IPL 2023 auction.
IPL 2023 Auction: 4 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Might Retain Before Auction
VIRAT KOHLI
Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen the world has witnessed in the last decade. He is an inspiration for a lot of players. Kohli’s contribution to RCB is next to brilliant. But, in this IPL 2022 season, Kohli could not perform as per the expectations. In 14 matches, Kohli could manage to score only 309 runs. This includes 2 half-centuries and 5 single-digit scores. Though the stats undermine the wealth of importance Virat Kohli has for RCB, his place is still untouched, and he will be one of the players the franchise will retain ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

DINESH KARTHIK
If we talk about the top 5 players who have performed unexpectedly well, Dinesh Karthik will surely feature in the list. He has showcased exceptional zeal and determination in the park every time he has come to bat. Dinesh Karthik, the veteran cricketer, has smashed 287 runs in just 9 innings. His strike rate of 192 is among the best in the season. Dinesh Karthik has provided the finishing touch for RCB both while setting targets and chasing the same. It seems RCB has found the ideal lower-middle order batsman, and he will undoubtedly be among the first players RCB will retain before IPL 2023 auction.
WANINDU HASARANGA
Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri-Lankan player, was brought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10.75 crores in IPL 2022 mega auction. The star cricketer from the Island nation has grabbed the opportunity with both hands. In 14 matches, he has scalped 24 wickets and is the current purple cap holder in IPL 2022. He is one of the highlights of this season, and RCB will love to keep a good association with him in the next season and retain him before the IPL 2023 auction.
GLENN MAXWELL/FAF DU PLESSIS
The final name in this list is expected to be a close call between Faf Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. Both the foreign players have had their moments in the IPL 2022. While Maxwell has scored 268 runs in 11 innings, his RCB captain has piled 443 runs in 14 innings. Given the value both the players provide to the squad, it will be a tough decision to choose one among them. However, considering that Glenn Maxwell is still younger compared to Du Plessis, and he can also roll his arm with his off-spin, we should not be surprised to see Maxwell getting preference.
