IPL 2023 Auction: Mumbai Indians Retained and Released Players List. Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to have their worst season ever in IPL history last year. In IPL 2022 wherein they finished last on the points table. The 5-times IPL winners won just 4 out of their 14 group stage matches and they were the worst performing teams. Thus, it is obvious that they will have to make some major changes if they are to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
And that season will definitely start with the removal of such players from the squad who have had very little contribution to the team or have seen a major dip in their form. All the franchises will get an opportunity to release a certain number of players ahead of IPL 2023 and this is when Mumbai Indians will get rid of these players.
Each franchise will have to retain some players and release some players. The final list for both will have to be submitted to BCCI within the deadline of November 15. The deadline day is closing in and thus the teams to hurry with their decisions.
However, there is news going around that Mumbai Indians are ready with their picks already and this is what we will be discussing in this article.

IPL 2023 Auction Details
The whereabouts of the IPL 2023 mini-auction are not properly known yet. Some sources revealed that the auction will take place in Turkey this year but others claim that it will be held in Bangalore just like last year on or around 16th December. Approximately 650 players will go under the hammer in IPL 2023 mini auction.
It is not a Mega Auction unlike last year and thus the Teams will tend to retain their best players and we might not see many big purchases.
