This Friday, 23rd December 2022, the entire IPL fans will be glued to their tv sets to witness yet another IPL auction. The IPL 2023 mini-auction marks the beginning of another season of action-packed cricket in store.
The 10 teams will have their task cut out to form a balanced squad to outsmart their competitors. We can expect a few unexpected names to get picked up by the franchises. Given below are the details of the upcoming IPL 2023 mini-auction.
Tata IPL 2023 Auction Details
The board of control for cricket in India (BCCI), earlier released 991 players’ names who showed interest to be part of the IPL 2023 auction. 336 players were shortlisted by the BCCI, but the teams demanded another 36 players. As a result total of 405 players were finally revealed by BCCI, who will be on the auction table.
Out of the 405 players, 273 are from India, and 132 are overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. The total number of capped players on the list is 119, uncapped players are 282, and 4 are from associate nations.

Talking about the total slots available, 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for the category of overseas players. The highest base prize is INR 2 crore.
