IPL 2023: Four Teams Which Can Qualify For Playoffs. The 16th edition of the tournament starts on March 31 and the last league match of IPL 2023 will be played on May 21 between RCB vs GT at Bengaluru. All 10 teams will play 7 home and 7 away matches during the league stage. In the 16th season, a total of 70 league-stage matches will be played at twelve venues including 18 doubleheaders. IPL 2023 playoffs and finals venues are to be announced soon.
Playing all ten franchises against one another in an exciting fight for the championship. In the past 15 years, just seven teams have won the IPL title, with the Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) being the most notable. Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, the long-gone Deccan Chargers, and the IPL’s first champions, the Rajasthan Royals, are the only four teams to have won the championship once.
However, none of the four active teams in the league—, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Lucknow Super Giants—have won an IPL trophy. Gujarat Titans are one of the two teams that have won championships in their first season, the other being Rajasthan Royals. In their first season, the Gujarat Titans exceeded everyone’s expectations by winning the most coveted IPL trophy.
IPL 2023: Four Teams Which Can Qualify For Playoffs
Gujarat Titans
Hardik Pandye-led Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, will begin as heavy favorites to advance to the playoff round. Hardik Pandya’s team had a fantastic season, winning 10 of their first 14 league games to finish first and advance to the playoffs. They have a fine balanced squad who can change the games momentum any time. Opening duos of GT like Miller, Gill, Wade, Saha are the players who can lay a strong foundation for the team.
On the other hand, experienced bowlers like Rashid Khan, Md Shami, and Joseph, can trouble the opposing team with their sharp bowling.
Chennai Super Kings
It appears that this will be captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s final IPL season. As a result, he will try to win the IPL title fifth time to make it memorable. Chennai Super Kings, a four-time IPL champion, struggled mightily last year, finishing ninth with only four wins. The home-and-away format, on the other hand, will return for IPL 2023, which should benefit CSK and give them a competitive advantage over other teams.

Rajasthan Royals
Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals, the IPL’s first-season champion and runners-up in IPL 2022, will give it their all to bring the jewel back after a 15-time absence. In IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals finished in an alternate place. After a long time, Rajasthan impressed everyone with their constant performance throughout the season. This season also the team is favorite and can qualify for playoffs.
Mumbai Indians
Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI), who had previously won the IPL five times, had a poor season in 2022. Last season, the team wasn’t at its best and lost a lot of games. However, given the number of Indian players flown to England for early training, it appears MI are eager to turn their fortunes around in the IPL 2023.
IPL 2023 winner prediction is quite difficult, however, in our expert opinion, Gujarat Titans could win again. Cricket, especially T20 on the other hand, is a very unpredictable format where any team can recover on any given day. it wouldn’t surprise us if another team managed to sneak in and take home the championship.
