They went with the intention to prepare a backup and were successful in doing so. Their biggest investment was Will Jacks, who was bought for Rs 3.2 crore. Apart from him, the franchise also invested to buy players such as Reece Topley, Himanshu Singh, Manoj Bhandage, Rajan Kumar, Avinash Singh, and Sonu Yadav.

TOP 3- VIRAT KOHLI, FAF DU PLESSIS, RAJAT PATIDAR
RCB Director Mike Hesson has already confirmed some days ago that Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis will open the innings in the upcoming 16th edition of IPL. Both have performed exceptionally well in the previous 2 outings and are expected to give a rocking start. While Kohli will play the role of an anchor batsman, on the other hand, captain Faf Du Plessis can go all guns blazing to score quick runs.
At number 3, we can expect Rajat Patidar to come, who set the stage on fire, with his breathtaking innings towards the end of IPL 2022. He can play fearless cricket and will be the center of attraction.
MIDDLE-ORDER- GLENN MAXWELL, MAHIPAL LOMROR, DINESH KARTHIK, SHAHBAZ AHMED
Although Glenn Maxwell had a not-so-great IPL 2022, but we all know his capabilities. He scored 301 runs in 13 innings last season. The management will be banking on him to come good this IPL season. He will be a key player in the middle order for the team.
Dinesh Karthik was one of the highlights of IPL 2022 for RCB. He played a few gem innings, coming towards the later stage of the innings and finishing matches for the team. His strike rate of more than 180 was the hallmark of his batting last season. He will be eying another good IPL performance.

The highest wicket-taker for RCB in IPL 2022 Wanindu Hasarnga, will be the key as far as the RCB spin department is concerned. He will be assisted by the pace trio of Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and Josh Hazlewood.
Although Harshal Patel is going through a rough patch, he is too good a bowler to be taken lightly. Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood has always been tough to handle by the batters.
