TATA IPL 2023: Records and Stats of First Half Of IPL 2023, Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: TATA IPL 2023 starts on March 31 and the first half of the 16th season was packed with exciting encounters, high scoring matches and surprising results.
The defending champions, Gujarat Titans, got off to a flying start by upsetting the four-time IPL winner, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Chennai on the other hand came back strongly and took first place in the IPL 2023 Points table at the end of the first half, thanks to their top-order batsmen being in fantastic form.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) got off to a fast start in the league, with their bowlers doing admirably. The Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PKBS) had a balanced start, while the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) battled to establish consistency.
The first half of IPL 2023 also provided us with some truly amazing moments, such as first century of IPL 2023 from Harry Brooks (SRH) and then Venkatesh Iyer. Hattrick from Rashid Khan (GT), and the finest one, Rinku Singh smashing 5 sixes in the last over and winning the game for his team.
Overall, the first half of the IPL 2023 season was full of thrilling moments and strong competition, with any team capable of winning on their day. The second half of the competition promises to be even more exciting, with teams vying for a spot in the playoffs.
