Gujarat Titans, one of the two debutants in IPL 2022, surpassed everyone’s expectations by lifting the most coveted IPL trophy in their inaugural season. As the teams again gear up for the next season, the intensity of the bar is set to increase further.
Last season, before the start of the IPL, we predicted Gujarat Titans among the 2 teams who could win the IPL 2022 trophy. Our prediction came true. Seeing the performance of all the 10 teams in the 15th edition and analyzing all the factors such as team strength, previous track record, etc, we have come up with our prediction regarding who will win IPL 2023.
IPL 2023 starts on March 31 with the opening match between Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Finals will be played between GT and CSK on May 28.

IPL 2023: Predicted Teams To Qualify For Playoffs
CHENNAI SUPER KINGS (CSK) – MS Dhoni
Chennai Super Kings disappointed their fans with a poor performance in IPL 2022. Ravindra Jadeja, the newly appointed captain before the start of the season, could not live up to the expectations and fail miserably. After he relinquished IPL 2022 captaincy mid-way, the writing was on the wall for CSK.
We all know Chennai Super Kings have the legacy of bouncing back after a bad season. They cannot be written off, and we can see CSK among the 4 teams in IPL 2023 playoff.
GUJARAT TITANS (GT)- Hardik Pandya
The defending champions Gujarat Titans will start as favorites to reach the playoff stage. The team under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya had a phenomenal season, where they won 10 matches out of 14 in the league stage and were the first team to reach the playoff. Gujarat Titans have a very settled and balanced team and will be among the favorites to reach the top 4 in the IPL 2023.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS (RR)- Sanju Samson
Rajasthan Royals were the runner-up in IPL 2022. After a long time, Rajasthan impressed everyone with their consistent performance throughout the season. They were the second team to reach the IPL 2022 playoff stage.
The players contributed to the success. They were on course to win their second trophy, but a poor performance by the batters led them down. We expect RR to be among the teams reaching the IPL 2023 playoff stage.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)- KL Rahul
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) finished IPL 2022 campaign with 9 wins from 14 games. New team played aggressive cricket and they qualify for the playoffs. Unfortunately they loose to RCB in the IPL 2022 playoff.
But, it seems LSG are desperate to change their fortunes in IPL 2023.
Who Will Win IPL 2023?
These are the 4 teams that we think can reach the playoff stage in IPL 2023. But, reaching the playoff stage is just one of the steps to winning the IPL 2023 trophy. Among these 4 teams, only 2 will get a chance to feature in the IPL 2023 finals. Our assessment says that Gujarat Titans/Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals/Chennai Super Kings will be the 2 teams who will feature in the finals of IPL 2023.
The winner prediction of IPL 2023 is very difficult, but in our expert opinion, it could be again Gujarat Titans or 4-time IPL champion CSK. CSK are injured lions, and we know that an injured lion is very dangerous. CSK will give its best to win back their fan’s trust while GT will try to continue on the winning path.
