Out of 405 players who have been shortlisted by the BCCI, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. The total number of capped players available is 119, whereas uncapped players are 282 and 4 are from associate nations. A maximum of 87 slots will be available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players.

The IPL 2023 mini-auction will take place on 23rd December in Kochi. The auction will start exactly at 2.30 pm IST and is expected to go on till late evening.
