IPL 2023 Retention: All 10 Teams Released, Retained Players List, And Purse Value. The IPL extravaganza for the year 2023 is all set to kickstart. The stage is set for the IPL 2023 mini-auction. This is different from the grand auction held in 2022 where the teams formed their squads from zero. This year’s mini-auction will be held in Kochi, on December 23, 2022. Remaining Purse Value Of All 10 Teams
The purse value of various teams is as follows. Punjab Kings with – INR 3.45 crore (approx. US $425,000) has the highest purse value whereas Lucknow Super Giants used its entire purse and is left with nothing. This year all 10 teams can spend 5 crores each to buy players. Last year team’s purse value was 90 cr. (PV- purse value in INR & CPS – current purse value) after released, retention.
IPL Player Pool for the auction will be finalized by the first week of December after the franchisees finalize and submit the list of players they release from their teams. The deadline for the submission of the released player’s list is November 15. The mini-auction will be completed in a single day, unlike the mega auction which will be held in February 2023 for two days.
