The Board of Control for Cricket in India shifted the date by two days. The change happened due to the upcoming state assembly elections.

Elections will take place in Assam, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu. Security arrangements depend heavily on election schedules. Because of this, the full IPL schedule has not yet released. The IPL Governing Council will meet next week. A partial schedule may be released soon.
