WWE Announced Two Title Matches For Smackdown, 2nd August 2024. During the broadcast of the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced part of the card for next week’s blue brand show, which will take place in Cleveland, just one day before the celebration of SummerSlam. The episode will feature several attractions, including two title fights.
First up, #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) will put the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga). Fatu and Tama earned their shot after emerging victorious in a gauntlet match at last night’s WWE show. With this win, the faction is one step away from reclaiming the tag team gold that The Usos lost at WrestleMania 39.
Elsewhere, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. After weeks of trying to get their title rematch, Belair and Cargill will finally get their chance on the pre-SummerSlam episode of SmackDown. The announcement comes after the two teams clashed in the ring on last night’s show.

However, there is a chance that the Scots will not be Bianca and Jade’s rivals. The champions will defend their gold three days earlier against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson on the first night of NXT’s Great American Bash.
Logan Paul will also appear in front of his home state crowd. The United States Champion will address fans one day before his match against LA Knight, where he will put the United States Championship on the line. In a backstage segment, the self-proclaimed “Pride of Cleveland” promised a surprising welcome to “The Megastar.” It remains to be seen what the YouTuber has in store for his rival ahead of their clash at the biggest event of the summer.
Finally, Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa will have one last face-off before their match at WWE SummerSlam.
After watching his allies being torn apart one by one by The Bloodline, Cody proposed to the self-proclaimed “The Tribal Chief” one last face-to-face meeting, just the two of them. Rhodes expressed his desire to look Solo in the eyes to see if the Samoan is ready. Sikoa accepted the proposal in a later promo, where he promised that he would regain the WWE Undisputed Championship for his faction.
The next episode of Friday Night SmackDown will take place on Friday, August 2 from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Fans will be able to watch the event live from the venue, or via its broadcast on FOX in the United States. Below, we leave you with the event card so far.
