Controversary On Venue of Asia Cup
The Asia Cup 2023 was meant to take place in 2020, but because of Covid-19, ACC delayed it to 2023. However, in October 2022, Jay Shah (BCCI Secretary & ACC President) announced unequivocally that India will not travel to Pakistan under any circumstances, and that a neutral location should be established. At the same time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) threatened to withdraw from the ODI World Cup, which would be held in India later this year.
