14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Crafts Maiden T20 Hundred

14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Crafts Maiden Hundred in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The 2025–26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was undoubtedly lit up by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who, at the age of just 14 years and 250 days, showcased a phenomenal performance that became a part of cricket history. He was the opener for Bihar against Maharashtra at the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He just went berserk, scoring an unbeaten 108 in 61 balls only. His innings consisted of seven fours and seven sixes — with a staggering strike rate of 177.05.

Suryavanshi converted his hundred off just 34 balls, and it also helped Bihar to reach a tall score of 176 for 3 in their 20 overs. With this remarkable achievement, he became the youngest century maker in the Indian Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

A Star Already on the Rise

He has been setting records from the beginning of the year. In October 2019, the left-handed prodigy caught the attention of the cricketing world by becoming the youngest-ever centurion in men’s T20 cricket. He scored a dazzling 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025. The innings was full of sixes (11) and 7 fours. Now, with just 16 professional T20 innings to his name, he has already amassed 3 hundreds this year. Thus, proving that he is not only very consistent but also quite mature for his age.

Even though Bihar lost in the end—Maharashtra successfully chased the target with three wickets in hand, his innings was such a great performance that it was appreciated by all, fans and experts.
