Asia Cup 2023: ICC Men’s ODI Rankings After Pakistan vs Afghanistan 2nd ODI. Pakistan beat Afghanistan by an exciting one-wicket on Thursday and the team took a secure 2-0 lead in the 3 ODI series. That improved Pakistan’s ODI team rating just short of first-placed. If the Babar Azam-led side beats Afghanistan on Saturday they will become the No. 1 ODI team before Asia Cup 2023.
On Friday, 25 August the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, in which Pakistani captain Babar Azam is on top, while Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is on top in the bowlers rankings.
In the ICC Men’s ODI Player Ranking (Batting) list, only two players from India, Virat Kohli and Shubham Gill are in this list. Shubman Gill, the star opener batsman for India, has moved up to position four after impressing in the ODI series against the West Indies. Rohit Sharma is ranked 11th with a rating of 693, while Virat Kohli is still in ninth place with a rating of 705.
ICC Men’s ODI Bowlers rankings also include two Indian bowlers, Mohammed Siraj is in the fifth position and Kuldeep Yadav is in the 10th position. Josh Hazlewood of Australia continues to hold the top spot in the bowling rankings, followed by Mitchell Starc. Rashid Khan dropped to fourth place, while Mujeeb-ur-Rahman climbed to third. Siraj dropped from fourth to fifth in the ODI Bowler Rankings after losing his previous position.

Talking about the same All-Rounder ranking, not a single Indian player is included in it because men in blue have not played ODI matches for some time now. In this ranking, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is at the top with 371 points.
