Asia Cup 2023: Schedule, Teams, India Squad, Results, And Man Of The Match. The stage is all set for the 16th edition of the Asia Cup. The six-team tournament is scheduled to be played from 30 Aug to 17 Sep. A total of 13 matches will be played across four venues in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This is the first time in the history of the Asia Cup that a tournament will be hosted on a hybrid model. Asia Cup 2023 schedule was announced on July 19 by Asian Cricket Council.
Fans will see the biggest cricketing rivalry between India vs Pakistan on Sep 2 at Kandy. Sri Lanka is the defending champion having won the sixth title by defeating Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022 final at Dubai. India is the most successful team in the Asia Cup with 7 titles. Last time team India won the Asia Cup in 20218 by defeating Bangladesh.
India will enter the Asia Cup for the third time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. In 2018, India defeated Bangladesh in the final of the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
In the last Asia Cup, India and Pakistan faced each other twice in which both the teams had won one match each. Because of ODI World Cup 2023 this year’s Asia Cup matches to be played in ODIs.
