India vs West Indies 1st Test: Amazing Ashwin Shows His Magic Once Again In Dominica. Ever since making his debut against West Indies in the test format in the year 2011, All-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been fabulous and he has been taking lots of wickets with his superb accuracy and variations. Not only that, but Ashwin has been doing superbly with the bat also down the order contributing those crucial match-winning runs for India.
In the last few years, it has been in the test arena that he has been making many heads turn with his marvelous off-spinning skills. Especially in those wickets that offer little turn, many batsmen have lost their battles to Ashwin’s tremendous skills.
Yesterday at Dominica in Roseau in West Indies, 36-year-old Ashwin was too hot to handle for the West Indian batsmen on that crumbling third-day pitch. He turned the balls big enough plus created doubts in the minds of the batsmen with the ones that went straight on with the arm. The batsmen had no clues and they succumbed to his wiles and guiles.
With Ashwin’s magical bowling and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dream debut inning, team India beat West Indies by an innings and 141 runs in their first WTC 2023-25 cycle match.

Ashwin did not get chance in WTC Final 2023
It is well known that in the recently concluded World Test Championship (WTC) final versus Australia that took place in the Oval in London in June 2023, Ashwin could not find a place in the Indian team despite being the world’s number-one bowler. This made many cricketers of past and present plus the cricket-crazy fans across the world unhappy. Now, his record-breaking performance against West Indies in the first test in Dominica has proved that the match-winning abilities of Ashwin has not diminished with his age. Ashwin rocking!!
