IPL 2026: Sanju Samson Back On The Table Between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The anticipated transfer talks between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) concerning Sanju Samson are now officially underway. Reports indicate that both franchises have reached out to each other again, with a key CSK player believed to be included in a multi-player deal before the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
According to development sources, CSK are actively pursuing the acquisition of Samson with the long-term goal of improving their top order and wicketkeeping positions. CSK management views him as a possible future captain and middle-order successor.
A senior CSK official commented that internal discussions have taken place in CSK and that management, including MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Stephen Fleming, will determine their official stance at a strategy meeting in early to mid-November.
Reports also indicate that the Rajasthan Royals are willing to part with their captain for sufficient compensation if CSK’s negotiations fall through, as the team owner Manoj Badale has conducted preliminary discussions with other franchises, including Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants, if CSK negotiations do not progress as preferred.
Although which CSK player is on the table has been kept under wraps, several outlets speculate over Ravindra Jadeja or Ruturaj Gaikwad being involved, though none of them has been confirmed as of now.
