IPL (Indian Premier League) vs PSL (Pakistan Super League) 2023: Player Salaries Comparison. The Indian Premier League can in no way be compared to any other cricket league in the world, and the BCCI does not allow its players to participate in any other global T20 league as they compensate for it with the money paid alone in the IPL.
On the other hand, the PSL is a much smaller franchise-level T20 league where the highest caliber of players are grouped under the Platinum section and earn the maximum amount of $170,000.
The sponsorship money of the entire Pakistan Super League (PSL) is hardly the auction purse of 4 franchises in the IPL, and even the prize money of the PSL winners is nearly 3-3.5 crores, which is not even equal to many players’ signing amounts.
The purse for IPL franchises is 95 crores, with the highest bidders earning up to 15 to 16 crores, such as KL Rahul in the 2022 edition for 17 crores and Sam Curran this year for 18.5 crores in the 2023 mini-auction.
