ODI World Cup 2023: Warm-up Games Schedule, Venues, India Matches And Squad. In advance of the ICC Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup 2023, the ICC announced the warm-up games schedule. Warm-up matches start on September 29 and continue until October 3. A total of 10 warm-up matches are scheduled to take place from Sep 30.
The opening match of the tournament will be played between 2019 World Cup finalists England vs New Zealand on October 5 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. India will start its World Cup campaign five-time champion Australia at (Chepauk) Chennai on October 8.
Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata are the ten venues where 48 matches of World Cup will be played. The warm-up games will be played in Hyderabad, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, and Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati are set to host four ICC ODI World Cup warm-up matches between September 29 and October 3 this year. The participating teams in these matches in Thiruvananthapuram will include India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Netherlands.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to participate in both of their warm-up matches in Hyderabad, India.

Locations for India’s Warm-up Matches in the 2023 World Cup:
After winning the 8th Asia Cup title, India will face Australia in the 3 ODI series from 22-27 September. Just after the series Men in Blues warm-up matches will start. India vs. India’s warm-up matches will feature one against a team that has advanced from the World Cup Qualifier, namely the Netherlands, and another against the defending champions, England.
