The Men in Green couldn’t stand up to its reputation in spite of having some of the finest talents in the five-day format in the last two World Test Championships. They finished at the 5th position during the 2019-21 WTC period while during the 2021-23 period, they finished at the 7th position with 64 points.
Babar Azam & co will look to produce an impressive performance and need to pull up their socks as they face two of the toughest sides in world cricket England & Australia during the 2023-25 cycle. They will be touring South Africa in 2024-25.
Pakistan started their 2023-25 WTC cycle on a decent note after registering an impressive win in the test series against Sri Lanka. A win in their first series win of the 2023-25 WTC cycle will be a confidence booster for the team. We take a look at their other fixtures in detail:
Pakistan’s Schedule for WTC 2023-25
2 Match series against Sri Lanka (Away) Won 2-0
It has been a positive start so far for Babar Azam and co. Pakistan won its first test series of the 2023-25 cycle in July against Sri Lanka 2-0. Pakistani bowlers bowled well led by pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. Spinners Abrar Ahmed & Noman Ali also bowled well. Batsmen Saud Shakeel who scored 208 in the first innings highlighted his class. Salman Agha also made decent contributions with a fighting 83 in the first game and an unbeaten 132 in the second match.

3 Match series against Australia (Away)
Pakistan will face Australia in December in Australia in what would be their toughest and most challenging tour. It will be a three-match test series that will start on the 14th of December 2023. Following are the details of that series:
1st Test, December 14th -18th, Perth
2nd Test, December 26th- 30th, Melbourne
3rd Test, January 3rd-7th, Sydney
2 Match series against West Indies (Home)
West Indies will tour Pakistan in early 2024 for a two-match test series in what would be Pakistan’s first home series of the 2023-25 WTC cycle. The series will be held around February-March 2024.
2 Match series against Bangladesh (Home)
After West Indies, Bangladesh will be touring Pakistan for a two-match series in 2024. The dates aren’t confirmed yet but the series will be held during the second half of the calendar year.

3 Match series against England (Home)
The Three Lions will be touring Pakistan again in 2024 for a three-match series after a successful outing in 2022 when they beat Pakistan 3-0. Pakistan will look to put up an impressive performance this time around. The series will be played in October 2024.
2 Match series against South Africa (Away)
Pakistan will be touring the Proteas during December 2024 for a two-match test series in what would be Pakistan’s last series of the 2023-25 WTC cycle. It will be another challenge for Barbar Azam & his men as the South African team is always a tough outfit in home conditions.
