Australia
The most successful team in cricket and the only team to win three consecutive ODI World Cups. The period between 1999 and 2007 was the golden era of Australian cricket as they dominated the cricketing world across all the formats. This golden generation consisted of several veterans like Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Andrew Symonds, etc.
West Indies
The first World Cup champions were the most feared teams in the 1970s and 1980s. They had intimidating fast bowlers and some of the great batting talents like Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes, Clive Llyod, etc. After the retirement of these players West Indian cricket saw a prolonged period of mediocre performances and a trophy drought. The drought ended when the West Indies shocked the world and lifted the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

The 1.4 billion-strong nation is the third most successful team with 2 ODI and 1 T20 World Cup. Still, India is a force to reckon with in every tournament and starts as a favorite in every major ICC tournament.
