WPL 2024: Women’s Premier League 2024 Full Schedule, Venues & Squads Of All 5 Teams. The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 is set to commence in Bengaluru on February 23, featuring an exciting opening match between last year’s finalists, the Mumbai Indians, and the Delhi Capitals. The tournament schedule, outlined by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), includes 22 matches, with Bengaluru and Delhi hosting 11 matches each throughout the event.
Bengaluru will host the first 11 WPL matches, running until March 4, after which the remaining matches will be held in Delhi. The tournament structure involves five teams – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriors, and Gujarat Giants. Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians clinched victory in the inaugural edition.
The 2024 WPL season maintains the previous year’s structure, where the top three teams in the league stage proceed to the playoffs. The league table topper directly qualifies for the final, while the second and third teams face off in the Eliminator on March 15.Meg Lanning, the captain of DC, emerged as the leading run-scorer in the tournament, accumulating 345 runs. Hayley Mathews of MI secured the Purple Cap, claiming 16 wickets in 10 matches.

In the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2024, all five teams will face each other twice in a thorough round-robin format. The team that finishes at the top of the points table after the league stage will secure a direct place in the final. Concurrently, the teams concluding in second and third place will participate in an eliminator to decide the second finalist.
