French Team Face Uncertainty After Kylian Mbappe Suffers A Broken Nose In Match Against Austria: UEFA EURO 2024. Kylian Mbappe was left with a bloody nose after he collided with Austria defender Kevin Danso’s shoulder during the France-Austria match in Dusseldorf at the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament in Germany. The French forward left the stadium in an ambulance after the game.
But that wasn’t all. Mbappe was given a yellow card for walking onto the field without permission. The French footballer walked in because the referee Jesus Gil Manzano did not allow the France side to make the substitutions after Mbappe got injured.
After the yellow card, the French manager Didier Deschamps made the changes, restoring the full strength of his team. France defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante said the players were concerned when Mbappe left the field. He said they don’t know about the situation, but want him back soon.

Kylian Mbappe Sustained a Bad Blow in UEFA EURO 2024
Deschamps told a press conference, after the match against Austria in which France won 1-0, that Mbappe, 25, sustained a bad blow and is not good. He highlighted that the star player’s nose is not good and complicated.
The French Football Federation said Mbappe underwent tests at a hospital in Duesseldorf and rejoined the team at their base in Paderborn. It added that the footballer won’t require surgery and have a mask fitted to get back into action.
Philippe Diallo, President of the France Football Federation, said it was too soon to know if Mbappe will be able to play in the rest of the European Championship. In regards to on-field treatment, he said they tried to reduce the aftermath of the player’s fracture and for him to remain in the tournament.
Deschamps said Mbappe’s injury was a big negative point for the French team. He believes the team with Mbappe will always be stronger… “the national squad will always be stronger with him.”

France Team in Dilemma About Kylian Mbappe & EURO 2024 Netherlands Match
Meanwhile, France is set to face the Netherlands on June 22. Speculations are that the French team will play without Mbappe. Reports suggest that Kingsley Coman might be his replacement, but there’s no official word from the team whether the star footballer will be playing or not.
Former footballer and Spanish Association Football Manager Cesc Fabregas says playing with a mask doesn’t hinder play. He acknowledged that it’s a bit uncomfortable, but if a player starts training with it and played a few games it’s fine. Fabregas said Mbappe will be able to play against the Netherlands.
