Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) maintained its unbeaten streak with a 3-1 win over Rennes in Ligue 1 Matchday 6 on Friday. PSG was in control for much of the match but also faced pressure from the visitors Rennes.
The match got off to a flying start when the hosts scored the opening goal in the 30th minute thanks to Bradley Barcola. He netted two goals for PSG, and Lee Kang scored the third goal 12 minutes into the second half. Barcola got his second after 68 minutes.
Rennes managed to score via Arnaud Kalimuendo. The visitor’s second goal was rejected by VAR. The second half saw PSG lose intensity and rhythm because of too many changes that didn’t play up as per the team’s expectations.

Exceptional Game By PSG
Luis Enrique, PSG coach, commended the team for a complete and great match. He said the boys had a lot of chances to score, a lot of opportunities. PSG scored three goals, giving them confidence for the future.
“We played a tough opponent like Rennes,” Enrique said. Rennes has always been a tough opponent for PSG but this time around, PSG was superior and dominant from the start. Joao Neves created offensive danger, made key passes, and attempted successful long passes.
The midfielder believes the team played some very good football. “That’s why we are PSG,” Neves said. “We try our best every day, every game, to try and win.” PSG prepares every game the same way, with the same mentality – to always win.
