Transfer News: Chelsea Loses Ivan Toney And Victor Osimhen To Al Ahli. Saudi Arabia FC Al Ahli has made major gains with the signing of Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen to the dismay of Chelsea FC. The English Premier League club was near to signing Osimhen with his agent Roberto Calenda saying the footballer has so much left to do in Europe.
But Chelsea couldn’t come up with the figure that the Nigerian football was looking at. Then Al Ahli swept him up with a four-year contract (including a release clause), worth around €40 million a season tax-free.
Word is that Brentford’s Toney has also joined Al Ahli for €47 million. This deal comes after the Bees rejected the Saudi club’s initial bid of £25 million.
EPL clubs and European fans have been left surprised with Toney’s decision as had received interest from English clubs – Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal. The forward’s move comes as he had less than a year remaining on his contract with Brentford; he has a record of 72 goals in 141 appearances.

However, speculations are also rife in Saudi Arabia that it’s nearly impossible for Al Ahli to sign both Osimhen and Toney. Sources say the club doesn’t have two slots available for two foreign players. It should be noted that clubs playing the Saudi Pro League are only allowed to have 10 foreign players in their 25-player teams.
