Transfer News: Manchester United Close To Signing PSG’s Manuel Ugarte After Leny Yoro And Joshua Zirkzee. After a dismal season at Old Trafford, Erik Ten Hag is powering up Manchester United with young players, building up the forwards and defense with the latest addition being Manuel Ugarte. After getting the green light for Leny Yoro and Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, Manchester United has secured Ugarte.
The Uruguayan footballer joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer for £51 million, and is now set to join the English Premier League club with PSG setting a price tag of £59 million.
Manchester United tussled with other top European clubs like Bayern Munich. Fabrizio Romano, transfer expert, said United was determined to rope in the 23-year-old. Moreover, Ugarte was eager to join the English team even though it was not in the UEFA Champions League.
Robin Bairner, chief editor of Football Transfers, said in a podcast that Ugarte is an excellent defensive midfielder. He believes the Uruguayan will do well at Manchester United.
PSG Coach Discontent With Manuel Ugarte
However, Bairner also highlighted that PSG coach Luis Enrique didn’t like Ugarte. He said there’s disconnect and no point in wasting a talent of his ability to rot away on the bench. So Ugarte should be moving to Manchester United.
The editor highlighted that the French club will get a healthy transfer fee for Ugarte and Manchester United will get a very good player. Bairner said the young footballer with outstanding talent deserves to be playing regularly which PSG had been denying him.
Reports say Enrique wants a midfielder who possesses greater passing capacities. PSG substituted Urgarte 64 minutes into the match against Newcastle – PSG lost 4-1.

Manchester United Seeks Redemption
Manchester United is adamant on climbing to the top of the Premier League table after a losing spree. It lost nine of its first 20 league matches in the season for the first time since the late 1980s, a deafening defeat that was too much for the fans.
Gary Neville lashed out at the team saying its back at its worst with their inconsistency and awfulness. A defeated bunch. He added that in recent seasons, United has been more down than up with some players performing well below than what’s required at this level.
