Ukrainian defender Illya Zabarnyi highlighted the huge difference between the last EUROs (2020) and the current one. Zabarnyi said the situation in Ukraine can dampen the team but it motivates them to go onto the field and do everything possible.
Ukraine coach Serhiy Rebrov called on the team to show the country’s spirit in the UEFA EURO 2024, in their opening match against Romania. He said football is not the most important thing to their country but the national football team can lift the people. Rebrov believes that the Ukraine team’s performance in the games can support those who are fighting in Ukraine against Russia and show the true character of Ukraine.
