A total of 590 players (370 Indians, 220 overseas) will take part in the upcoming mega auction. 48 players have been placed in the 2 cr bracket, 20 in the 1.5 cr bracket, 34 in the 1 cr bracket, and others in the 50 lakh and 20 lakh bracket.
Initially, a total of 1214 players registered for the auction was earlier announced. but BCCI trimmed down the list from a total of 1214 to 590. IPL 2022 mega auction will be held in Bengaluru on February 12-13. 47 Aussie players will be participating in the mega event.

Glenn Maxwell (RCB) & Marcus Stoinis (Lucknow) are the only 2 Australian players who have been retained by their IPL franchises. Apart from these two big names David Warner, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Aaron Finch among others will take part in the auction.
According to reports, IPL 2022 will start from 27th March. There are doubts over the availability of the Australian players for the entire IPL 2022. The Aussie team will be traveling to Pakistan from March 29 to April 5.

According to some reports, IPL 2022 will start from March 27, the final will be on May 30 or 31. Due to the threat of Corona, this time IPL is likely to be held in only two places. The league matches will be held in Mumbai while the playoffs and final will be held in Ahmedabad.
